www.Just-Eat.ie are now an approved member of the Quick Service Food Alliance (QSFA) which is Ireland’s largest body for the quick service food sector. QSFA has over 200 members.
www.Just-Eat.ie is the newly launched Irish branch of the highly successful European model and features restaurants and take-aways throughout Ireland. Since their launch in May they have had 50,000 food orders.
The company on an international basis provides an average 30,000 meals for customers in any given 24 hours, and has serviced more than 7 million meal orders since launch.
The site enables you order take away food online from restaurants and take away food outlets in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Limerick at a time when current research shows that in Britain the market jumped by an astonishing 69.5% in the first quarter of 2009 – an increase of 6% over the previous four months.
www.Just-Eat.com is the first point of call online to order hot food delivered to your door from restaurants, defines ‘takeaways’ as ‘food which you do not home prepare/cook, such as fish and chips, curries, Chinese dishes and pizzas.
On an international basis the company took orders for 7 million take away meals online during 2008 – representing sales of €7,500,000 million worth of takeaway meals during that year. Then in 2009 more than €200,000 sold between January and March.
In Ireland Just-Eat.ie expects to serve up to 100,000 take away meals during 2009, while in Britain alone last year Just-Eat sold 500,000 meals online. More than 3,500 restaurants are now featured across Denmark and Britain through the group (with 2,200 of them in the UK)
Just-Eat.ie claim that Irish people now eat take away food at least twice a week and the company has already signed up 279 restaurants in Ireland.
