TIME FOR IRISH BUSINESSES TO MAKE THEIR MARK IN EUROPE
Innovative and entrepreneurial Irish businesses with an impressive story to tell and a track record to match are invited to participate in the 2013/14 European Business Awards sponsored by RSM. The variety of businesses, in size and industry sector, that the awards are open to is apparent in the number of categories available to enter. Entries for the 2013/14 European Business Awards can be directed at 10 categories ranging from customer focus and innovation, to international growth and employer of the year, amongst others. “The Awards attract many ambitious enterprises which are looking outside of their home bases and towards markets in Europe and beyond,” said Aidan Scollard, RSM Farrell Grant Sparks partner responsible for the Irish stage of the Awards programme.
He added that what we can expect from the European Business Awards is “Creativity, innovation and bravery. Times have been tough but these Awards are about celebrating those who are succeeding, despite the economic challenges, regardless of size or sector. It’s about taking inspiration from others and learning what ingredients are critical for growth in today’s global economy.”
RSM has been a sponsor of the European Business Awards since they first began in 2006, but this is its first year as Lead Sponsor and spearhead of the prestigious European awards programme. The partnership facilitates unrivalled networking opportunities for all entrepreneurs, exchanging ideas, tools for success and strategies to help future proof businesses.
Details of the 20 Irish finalists short-listed for the 2013/14 competition will be announced in January and they will directly compete with European finalists in the final judging round. The European Business Awards winners will be selected by a panel of high profile judges from European business and political life with European Commissioner for Trade, Karel De Gucht confirmed as an official patron. The final awards will be presented in April 2014. 7 of the 100 European finalists for 2012/13 are from Ireland.
