DV4, the world-class digital media and Internet solutions company, has developed an innovative interactive touch screen game for the environmental awareness website Change.ie, which is operated by the Department of the Environment.
The Change.ie game is displayed on a large touch-screen and tests a combination of the player’s awareness of environmental issues with the accuracy and speed of their hand to eye co-ordination. The game was officially unveiled at the recent Young Scientists Exhibition at the RDS.
Initially, DV4 had worked with Agency.com to create an interactive Christmas game for the ‘Power of One’ campaign in association with the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. The Department of the Environment were so impressed with this game that they commissioned DV4 and Agency.com to re-purpose the game for their Change.ie campaign and launch it at the Young Scientists Exhibition 2009.
DV4, who were recently awarded the Grand Prix at the Golden Spider Awards for the new TV3 website, specialise in rich media websites, video encoding and content management services, webcasts, high-end presentations and digital signage systems.
Liam Ward, Managing Director of DV4, says:
“We were delighted to work with Agency.com and Change.ie on this exciting project. DV4’s expertise in digital media afforded us the opportunity to develop this inventive and educational game to educate the public about climate change.”
