The Irish Software Association and Mason Hayes+Curran invite you to a Business Breakfast on Cloud Computing – the reality of doing business in the clouds.
Cloud computing has generated quite a buzz in IT circles and beyond over the past year. With a rapidly increasing range of cloud-based services now available and the promise of reduced costs, many businesses are considering a move towards the cloud to meet their IT needs or to deliver services to their customers.
Is the technology mature enough? For potential subscribers, is the time ripe to switch over to a cloud-based service? How can concerns about data security and loss of control be addressed? What can be done to ensure that a particular cloud-based service is viable over the longer term? What pitfalls should parties on either side look out for when negotiating contracts for cloud-based services?
