Bloggers International is a new organisation formed by KLCK Bloggers Network and The Chipping Norton Social Media Club. The KLCK bloggers network was founded by Amanda Webb (Spiderworking) and Lorna Sixsmith (Garrendenny Lane) as a local network providing a monthly social media networking and advice meeting for all those interested in learning more about blogging. Beatrice Whelan (Website Extraordinaire) joined the team in 2011 and from their first AGM, Bloggers International was formed.
The first Bloggers International meeting will be a live video link up with Chipping Norton Social Media Club and will take the form of a bloggers clinic. There will be a panel each side of the water answering questions on both the technical and creative sides of Blogging. The Irish panel consists of Beatrice Whelan (Website Extarodinaire), Niall Devitt (Joint founder of Irish business blog Bloggertone), Amanda Webb (Spiderworking) and Marie Ennis O’Connor (Social Media Marketing for Non Profits). The English panel includes Shaun Fagan of (Black Dog New Media) and Chris Hogan (OxCopy).
Blacknight, the hosting company, is kindly sponsoring the Irish event, which is being held in the Heritage hotel in Portlaoise. The event is free for all visitors.
‘Although I have been blogging for 3 years and it has brought in a significant proportion of my traffic and sales, I find Istill learn something at every KLCK meeting’ says Sixsmith of Garrendenny Lane. ‘This event offers an opportunity to learn even more as well as network with fellow and aspiring bloggers. Blogging is now an essential tool for marketing one’s business.
Questions can be submitted before the meeting on the Bloggers International website or asked on the evening via video link, twitter or the facebook page. For those unable to make the physical meeting, they will be able to follow the discussions, questions and answers, and debates on twitter using the hashtag #bI11. A video link is also available with a limited number of 2-way connections available. Whether you are there virtually or physically, you are very welcome and we would love to have people from every continent. It promises to be an exciting and inspiring event for experienced and aspiring bloggers and social media users.
