SafeBox, the international provider of mobile privacy solutions, today announced that SafeBox.mobi, the popular mobile application that allows its users to easily send and receive private SMS within a selected circle of contacts, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Mobile Messaging Awards 2011.
The Mobile Messaging Awards celebrate the very best in messaging innovation and development. Each year, it attracts major industry players as well as new companies to compete for the awards with a whole range of mobile messaging products from SMS and MMS, to IM, email, and voice messaging.
The awards are organized annually by 160 Characters, a UK-based not-for-profit membership forum for mobile messaging professionals. In honour of their 10th anniversary, the winners will be announced at a glamorous champagne reception on the 22nd June as part of the Global Messaging Congress.
Philippe Joly, CEO, SafeBox, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Mobile Messaging Awards and to be among such quality finalists. The success of our Private SMS product that has attracted over 800,000 users in just a year, highlights a demand for improving privacy in daily SMS communications in consumer markets, globally.”
