For any van rental or hire company tough weather conditions make work that little bit more complex. Typically we find that many of the problems that people encounter are down to driving rear wheel drive vans. The majority of Irish rental vans are actually rear wheel drive and can be tricky to use in the snow. Rear wheel drive vehicles can get stuck in snow and ice quite easily. with this in mind we have written up a guide for driving in the snow. Hopefully there are a couple of hints that people might find useful.
The guide to snow driving can be found here. We would recommend people who are intending to rent a van or truck to pospone their plans if they can. The reason is quite simple, this is not the type of weather to move home in. The risk of slipping while moving items is too high.
