WorldNetTPS announce launch of first iPhone payment application

WorldNet TPS, the Dublin-based provider of secure online payment services to domestic and international eCommerce merchants, today announced the planned launch of their new card payment facility for the iPhone market. The product which is expected to be available to market in January next is aimed at business with a requirement for access to card payments anywhere, anytime.

Speaking at the Enterprise Ireland hosted seminar, ‘The iPhone as an Emerging Enterprise platform’, WorldNet TPS Chief Executive Will Byrne says “I am delighted to announce the development of the first online payment application on the iPhone, as our latest product innovation for customers in the domestic and international markets. The iPhone application is aimed at business users who wish to process credit and debit card transactions when and where they choose, and fully compliments our very popular ‘Virtual Terminal’  facility which can be accessed through any web browser, laptop or PC”.

“While estimates of the potential scale of the mobile payments market vary widely, one thing is clear, all of the major players in the service delivery channel including Apple, Google, Nokia, Paypal, Facebook and Twitter have committed heavily to establishing their presence in this emerging market”.
