Bloggertone brings together the collective voice of business blogging

An online space to share up to date business information and opinions

Business blogging has now become increasingly important part of the new media revolution.  The aims of a business blog are to develop a following and to engage with potential customers, while at the same time - writing pieces that identify you as a thought leader within your chosen field. However a big number of companies and business people have still not blogged - citing lack of time as the main obstacle.

Bloggertone aims to resolve this difficulty by providing businesses and business people an opportunity to share their knowledge without the need to invest lots of time. It’s a simple concept, business people can utilise Bloggertone to speak to a larger audience but at a less demanding frequency and without the constraints of a personal or corporate blog.

From the reader’s perspective, there is also a substantial gain as they can now come to just one online space to get all their up to date business information and opinions coming directly from the specialists. The reason for choosing blogging over traditional media is that it allows these same readers to interact with the writer of the piece. They can give their own opinions, ask questions, agree or disagree. Of course, they can also apply to become a blogger if they choose so.

Bloggertone launched last October 23rd with 30 bloggers on board and the number of bloggers is rapidly growing. The initiative is the brainchild of three of Ireland’s up and coming entrepreneurs. Niall Devitt is managing partner of Beyond the Boardroom - a Tipperary based business consultancy firm. Facundo Villaveiran and Fred Caballero are web and social media consultants, the founders of Dublin-based web agency: Channelship.

“I know that there is vast amount of business knowledge out there that as of yet, we are failing to tap into, my own blog has become the main business development tool for my business but I understand that not everyone has the time to devote. Bloggertone will give business people the opportunity to share their expertise while at the same time provide readers with a rich source of business know-how”

Niall Devitt, Managing Partner, Beyond the Boardroom

“Having personally experienced the benefits of blogging for business, and understanding the value of the web as a social space, we are committed to bringing more business people into blogging. We are delighted to lead the Bloggertone project with Niall.”
