The IE Domain Registry (IEDR) operates the registry for all Internet domain names ending in .ie. For 10 years the IEDR has provided registration services and security to Ireland’s online community.  The .ie namespace is consistently ranked in the top five safest domains worldwide by McAfee and offers Irish businesses and consumers the benefits of a secure e-business platform with minimal risks of cybercrime.

We are pleased to sponsor the IIA ‘Open for Business’ Conference. Indeed, the IEDR recently announced a series of initiatives to highlight the potential of the Internet, which remains largely untapped by small businesses in Ireland. OPTIMISE is IEDR’s €100,000 e-commerce website development fund which is designed to help 10 Irish SMEs with existing .ie websites to begin the process of optimising their existing online presence to a more fully featured, transactional website. In addition, the IEDR is also supporting the Getting Irish Business Online Campaigns, major initiatives welcomed by Government to encourage Irish companies online.
