Together we innovate
The “crazy professor” or “inventor-in-the-shed” image of innovation is well recognised and pretty compelling.
But is this really the best way to get new innovations into the marketplace today?
Typically fewer than 1 in 100 new technologies or ideas that receive investment ever makes any money. The risk: reward ratio for developing new technologies, products and services is clearly out of whack.
With these odds, sharing the risks is just plain good sense, and new models are emerging to make this possible – across people; companies; and organisations.
Amy Neale and Gary Leyden from NDRC will lead the “Together we innovate” conversation to focus on ways to share risk and reward, and to innovate together.
(Please note: Walter Bishop will not be in attendance. Alas.)
