After the overwhelming success of last October's Online Retailing conference, the IIA return with 8 More Ways to Sell Even More Stuff. This time around we're focussing on Content and Analysis - what you are saying to your customers and whether you're reaching them.
Building upon our first Online Retailing Conference last October, the highly successful “8 Ways to Sell More Stuff”, we are excited to bring you to the Burlington Hotel this March 3rd to share more unique and innovative case studies, expert discussions and informative speakers who will help you develop your online business.
In Ireland, the tide is turning and there is now a great opportunity to grow your business. Whether you’re opening your first online store to complement your bricks and mortar business or are looking to diversify into the many different online ecommerce opportunities, “8 More Ways to Sell Even More Stuff” will show you how to increase sales and open new markets through your online proposition.
Content, Analysis and Store Format
As the Irish Internet Association, it is our role to support business growth through sharing best practice thinking and experience. Based on your feedback, we have chosen Content and Analysis as the topics for this important conference as well as a review of the gamut of online shopping formats. We wish to provide delegates with the knowledge, skills and insight to ensure that they are communicating with their customers in the most effective way to drive sales while examining the statistics, metrics, facts and figures to make the right tweaks!
In recognition of the choice of online store formats we will also examine various store formats including e-commerce, m-commerce and social network stores. Whether your business chooses to develop one, some or all of these, we will have our expert speakers and exhibitors on hand to guide you.

Darren Grant is the Managing Director of the Organic Supermarket. He holds a honours degree in Business Management, a post graduation higher diploma in Advanced business studies and a black belt in Six Sigma process improvement. Founded in July 2008, The Organic Supermarket has become one of Ireland’s Leading retailers of organic food and wine. In 2009, To complement its shop on Main Street Blackrock, Darren launched a nationwide ecommerce solution for the business. The e-commerce site www.organicsupermarket.ie has become the main supplier of organic food across Ireland and a leader within the Industry. It is a multi-award winning site including “Most Beautiful Website in Ireland” at the 2009 Irish Web Awards. “Best Ecommerce Website 2009 at the Eircom Golden Spiders and more recently won “Best Ecommerce Website 2010” at the Irish Web Awards. -
Mr. Conor O'Neill (CEO)
Argolon Solutions Ltd. t/a LouderVoice
Conor O'Neill is CEO of LouderVoice which powers Social Commerce using Reviews. He specialises in building things, whether it's businesses, technology, community or events. He previously worked in senior management roles with Integral Design, Xilinx, EMC and McAfee and has co-founded two start-ups.
With LouderVoice he took the nub of a technology idea and turned it into Europe's leading provider of customer reviews solutions to SMEs.
He doesn't have any hobbies due to five children and a start-up. But if he did have any free time, he'd try running more.
Conor is also heavily involved in the Irish start-up community through co-editing Web2Ireland.org, founding Ireland's most successful OpenCoffee and coordinating Facebook Developer Garages.

Ms. Lorna Sixsmith
Garrendenny Lane
Lorna Sixsmith owns Garrendenny Lane Interiors which started in Nov 2007 as a home-based interior design consultancy business coupled with sales of designer fabrics and wallpapers. An online store was added to the website in August 2008.Lorna used blogging very effectively in her first year of business and it brought in approximately 40% of her business in 2008.
With the changes in the economic climate and a busy family life, Lorna took the decision in 2010 to phase out the interior design and concentrate on the online sales. This meant investing in a new website to target the international market and to examine new ways to drive traffic to the new site.
With no qualifications in sales or technology, Lorna has learnt what she knows about social media 'on the job' and by attending one-day courses. She took the decision to use Web Results to create her new website based on their expertise with search engine optimisation and web marketing.
The new website www.garrendennylane.com was launched in October 2010. However, new functionality is being added each month and the design should be complete in May 2011.

Ms. Rosey Broderick

Rosey Broderick is a graduate of the University of Limerick in Business Studies & German, having specialised in Marketing. Rosey has worked in various marketing roles in technology related businesses both locally and abroad including Deutsches Reisebüro & Siemens in Germany, Creative Labs, Eircom.net & Web Reservations International.
Rosey set up WebResults.ie in 2007, now a thriving web marketing services company, working with a wide variety of clients in various sectors targeting both local and international markets. WebResults.ie works with clients on an on-going basis, who want to use the web to build their business using web marketing activities to drive quality traffic and through monitoring usability and conversions on the website.
Rosey mentors international businesses in web strategy in web marketing and search engine optimisation & lectures in Online Marketing for the ‘Diploma in Digital Marketing‘ at the Fitzwilliam institute & Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin.

Mr. Laurence Veale (Senior Analyst)
iQ Content
Laurence is a web usability and accessibility expert with over five year's programming experience.
Since joining iQ Content, Laurence has worked on a variety of usability and accessibility projects, helping organisations such as Cavan County Council and the Department of the Taoiseach to evaluate and enhance their websites.
Before joining iQ Content, Laurence worked as a developer for two of Ireland's largest financial institutions: Eagle Star and AIB. As a Senior Software Engineer with Eagle Star Life he worked on developing their award winning website to give brokers and clients easy access to their policies online.
While at AIB, Laurence worked on their New Banking Platform (NBP), a browser based branch application, developed with Java (J2EE), XML/XSL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. As well as pure development, he also worked on accessibility within the NBP project.Laurence has experience in the following technologies: Java, ASP, PHP, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, CSS, XHTML, XML/XSL, JavaScript, and AS/400.
Laurence has a BA (Hons.) in Physiology from Trinity College Dublin and a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology from Dublin City University. He also has a City and Guilds Certificate in Advanced C Programming from Griffith College Dublin.

Mr. Karl James
OWJO
Karl has over fifteen year's business and financial experience in senior roles with a variety of blue chip companies, Bank of Ireland Group Treasury, Cornmarket Group and Marsh & McLennan. In 2006, Karl established Crannog Asset Management which currently has over €30 million in private client funds under management across a diverse mix of managed investment products, syndicated property funds and micro VC investments.
Karl is a high energy fiscally conscious and goal-driven business executive who approaches each new business challenge with an intrinsic flair for innovation, creative problem-solving and measured risk-taking to drive consistent bottom line improvements.
Karl was central to OWJO's successful completion of the initial fundraising rounds. Karl's ability to build relationships, trust and rapport, along with his drive for consistent forward momentum, enables OWJO to broker the relationships and make the connections between the people required to create the partnerships and alliances needed to 'get things done'. Karl has a deep understanding of the on-going strategic positioning, financial planning and control requirements for OWJO and has positioned the company to confidently take its next significant steps forward.
Karl holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Accounting) from University College Dublin.

Lisa’s career began in marketing and promotions in FMCG but the majority of her career had been spent in telecommunications with roles spanning sales, marketing and wholesale at companies including Telefonica O2 Ireland,Eircom, Energis and Telenor. Lisa was Head of Business Segments and Head of Wholesale during her career at O2 and has in-depth knowledge of both fixed and mobile technologies. Lisa has a BComm from UCD and a Masters of Marketing Practice from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School.Lisa currently works with Digital Reach Group.

She holds a degree in Architecture from The Bartlett, University College London and has worked in Burke Kennedy Doyle Architects in Dublin, and Jestico & Whiles Architects in both London and Prague. She subsequently spent seven years as a Senior Creative at OwensDDB Advertising Agency where she won many awards for her work on brands such as Volkswagen, Sony and Tropicana, before leaving to set up PeopleLovePresents.com. -
Mr. Gordon Newman (Online Sales Manager)

Gordon is the Online Sales Manager for Telefonica O2 Ireland, one of the country’s leading communication providers with over 1.7 million customers. Before joining O2 in 2008, Gordon spent the last decade delivering and developing retail e-Commerce solutions within the mobile industry. Gordon launched the online presence for Phones 4u in the UK in 2000 and delivered the first online store for a telecommunications company in the middle east region for Dubai based mobile operator, Du in 2006. Gordon is passionate about using web channel to win Customers in new ways and equally passionate about sharing what he’s learned along the journey.
