About the Speakers

  • Ms Una Coleman (Managing Director)

    Codegaconsulting

    Una is an International Strategy and Marketing Consultant with over 20 years experience in marketing and strategy and international operations both in the US and Europe. Una runs her own consulting business, Codegaconsulting.

  • Mr Breon Corcoran (Managing Director - Non Retail & Development)

    Paddy Power plc

    Breon Corcoran is the Managing Director - Non Retail and Development for Paddy Power plc. Breon joined the Group in April 2001 and since then has been responsible for development of the Non-Retail business comprising the telephone and online channels.  During this period Paddy Power has launched more than 10 new businesses.  He was appointed to the Board in 2004.  He is also Chairman of Paddy Power’s recent Australian acquisition, Sportsbet.

    Prior to Paddy Power, in addition to involvement with a number of small startups, Breon worked in a variety of trading roles at J.P. Morgan and Bankers Trust in London and New York. He studied mathematics in Trinity College, Dublin and completed an MBA at INSEAD in 2001.

  • Mr Ronan Finn (Director - Tax & Legal Services)

    PricewaterhouseCoopers

    Ronan is a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Tax and Legal Services (TLS) practice. He has a degree in Commerce from NUI Galway and a Masters in Accounting from Smurfit Graduate School of Business.  He is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.

    Ronan works in the technology group within TLS on a broad portfolio of clients from Irish start ups to multinational companies.  He has a wide range of experience of group restructuring, international planning and  M&A work. He has extensive experience in assisting Irish companies addressing tax and legal issues as they expand abroad.  He spent 2 years working in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Boston office dealing with early stage US technology clients.

  • Mr Bartley O'Connor (Associate Director - Advisory Practice)

    Bartley is an Associate Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Advisory practice. He has a degree in Electronic Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and an MBA from Smurfit Graduate School of Business, University College Dublin.

    His areas of knowledge include - strategy development and implementation, process and organisation design and review, developing revenue growth programs and driving cost reduction initiatives such as outsourcing opportunities.

    Bartley has considerable experience in the telecommunications industry having led numerous consulting engagements for operators throughout the world across marketing, finance, technical and HR functions.

    Prior to joining PwC, Bartley worked as a management consultant for 10 years, initially with IBM and then with Ericsson.

     

  • Mr Mark Rodgers (CEO)

    Cipherion Translations

    Mark RodgersMark Rodgers founded Cipherion Translations in 2006 and is the driving force behind the company's rapid growth as a leading provider of translation and localization services. This growth can be attributed to the talented people that Mark has selected as well as his passion for delivering beyond customer expectations. Mark has spent 7 years working for the Mitsubishi Group in Japan where he developed a unique understanding of Japanese quality control and customer care systems.

    Before founding Cipherion Translations, Mark held senior management positions within Eurotext Translations, where he introduced process driven quality control systems and oversaw the growth of Operations by 300% within a 3 year period. Prior to this, Mark worked in senior positions within International Translation & Publishing (now part of SDL International), a US$20million localization provider. In 1995 he established ITP's Japanese office in Tokyo before returning to Ireland as Resource Manager, managing localization teams in over 30 countries worldwide.

    Mark has 15 years experience within the translation industry. He holds a first class degree in Engineering and is passionate about helping organizations as they grow globally.

  • Mr Caelen King (CEO)

    RevaHealth.com

    Caelen King is founder and Chief Executive Officer of RevaHealth.com.

    Previously, he was Vice President of Product at NewBay Software. Having joined NewBay Software in 2002, Caelen was a key member of the executive management team that revolutionized the Mobile Operator market with social mobile web applications.  During his tenure, NewBay launched 5 product lines, built their user base to over 10 million and were deployed in 4 Continents with the largest and most prestigious mobile network operators.

    Before joining NewBay Software, Caelen led the marketing of Baltimore Technologies' (London:BLM) flagship product, UniCERT. Caelen had complete responsibility for formulating and delivering marketing strategies targeted at geographic and vertical markets. During this period UniCERT's software revenue grew from under $1million to in excess of $40m in 2001. While at Baltimore Technologies, Caelen was also responsible for the product management of new product lines.

  • Mr Jack Donaghy (Managing Director)

    Roomex Limited

    Jack, formerly an accountant with KPMG has been involved with the internet for 11 years. He set up his own web development company, Webtrade.ie, in 1998, a company that now has over 500 clients. One of Webtrade’s clients was Roomex.com, originally an Irish Hotel portal with 350 Irish hotels on board. Jack bought Roomex.com from its original owner in 2006, left the day to day running of Webtrade and set about growing Roomex.com internationally. In January 2007, Roomex.com grew to 20,000 hotels worldwide and has continued to grow since. Today, Roomex.com has over 150,000 customers from all over the world, and sells rooms in over 80,000 hotels.

  • Ms Claire Minogue

    Enterprise Ireland

    Claire manages First Flight and develops new training initiatives to support clients enter new export markets. Before joining Enterprise Ireland in 2008, Claire worked as a Management Consultant advising companies globally in relation to leadership and organisational change challenges. Claire Minogue has also lectured on various Business Management topics with the Institutes of Technology.
