So you’ve heard about blogs and podcasts but are you wondering how you can connect these to your marketing and communications strategy?

Perhaps you have heard of micro blogging platforms such as Twitter or Jaiku but how they can be used for customer service or increasing sales?

Are you unsure how to develop a business blog or podcast that truly engages and creates a community of brand ambassadors with your customers, clients and prospects?

Or perhaps you have a business blog and want to make sure that it can support you in lead generation and client attraction?

These are some of the questions we will be covering in this workshop where we will explore social media platforms of blogging and podcasting to build your brand online. We will explore how to create brand engagement and build a community online including:

  • Best practice case studies of business blogs, micro blogging and corporate podcasting
  • How to integrate your social media marketing programme within your marketing plan to deliver your business strategy
  • Ideas for promoting and marketing your business blog and podcast

Outcomes

At the end of the workshop, attendees will have developed an understanding about how blogging, micro blogging and podcasting are being used by both micro businesses and global organisations.

They will also be able to determine if blogging, micro blogging or podcasting will be relevant in supporting the delivery of their business strategy; determine the resources they need to implement the strategy and will have guidance on how to develop the business case for blogging or podcasting in their organisation.

Venue

The course will be held in the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), 57-61 Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

Places in the IPA car park are on a first come, first serve basis. There is on-street, metered parking in the area also. Alternatively, the IPA is adjacent to the Lansdown Road DART station - exit the station onto Lansdowne Road, turn left and the IPA is 10 metres further on the left.
