About the Speakers

  • Mr. Clive Ryan (Director of Advisory Services)

    eircom

    Clive Ryan leads eircom Advisory Services, a specialist business consulting team who work with customers to assist them in assessing and addressing their specific business issues or opportunities. Working closely with enterprise customers, Advisory Services offers Enterprise Business Architecture assistance regarding how technology solutions can be applied to business including the strategic use of IP in the enterprise, how to enhance productive communications and collaboration within the organisation, how to transition to the next generation contact centres, how to enhance their online presence and customer experience and how to leverage converged solutions for business advantage. This team has been drawn directly from industry, offering unique experience from backgrounds including management consulting and global software enterprises.

    Prior to joining eircom, Clive spent 12 years as a management consultant with Accenture in Ireland. Initially having roles in the Systems Integration and Technology Architecture practice, Clive transitioned to large scale Programme Management and ultimately Business Strategy consulting. He left Accenture to join Microsoft Ireland where he established a "Business Productivity" advisory team, which was tasked with working with Microsoft's largest customers to ensure that they were getting the best business value from their technology investments and were in a position to consider new business possibilities enabled by technology innovation. Clive subsequently became the Ireland product director for the Windows and "Information Worker" business in Ireland (north and south). This included product responsibility for Microsoft's mobility and convergence propositions.


  • Mr. Declan Murphy (Managing Director)

    Glantel

    Declan Murphy is Managing Director and co-founder of Glantel. A graduate from the Marketing Institute of Ireland, Declan has over thirteen years sales and marketing experience with international firms such as Cable and Wireless and AT&T.

  • Dr. Des Mahony (Managing Director)

    Bookassist

    Managing Director Dr Des O'Mahony is responsible for business strategy for BookassistŪ as well as Bookassist system architecture and has been active in internet technology and development since 1991. An Irish Internet Association (IIA) NetVisionary winner for Online Trade and eircom.net Golden Spider recipient, he also lectures at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
