How this will be achieved

By bringing together expert practitioners and business leaders in a collaborative forum, developing white-papers, FAQs and step-by-step guides to developing global websites.  The group will highlight best practice case-studies in the Irish marketplace and beyond.

A key objective of this working group will be to outline a step-by-step approach on how, at relatively low costs, Irish businesses can become true global online-businesses and access much larger overseas markets.

The group will also organise workshop events open to all IIA members and non-members to facilitate sharing and discussing insights on the benefits and practical steps to take in developing a global online presence and generating increased revenues from overseas markets.

Membership

It is intended that membership of the working group be split evenly between expert practitioners (international marketing, website developers, online marketing, website translation, e-payments) and business leaders from a variety of business sectors, including the legal, public sector, SME, tourism, media, technology and not-for-profit sectors.

The group is chaired by Mark Rodgers, MD of Cipherion Translations (www.cipherion.com). If you are a member of the IIA and would like to get involved please contact us at members@iia.ie

The Group will meet 2 to 3 times a year and will primarily work using Basecamp - an online collaboration tool.
