About Us

The Irish Internet Association is the professional body for those conducting business via the internet from Ireland. It has been and remains one of the driving forces behind the adoption of the medium. Established in 1997, the IIA provides leadership to enterprises and society conducting business in Ireland. The IIA is a strong voice for its 550 plus company members. The aim of the Association is to Connect, Inform and Promote.

The IIA is a non-profit business association. Members of the association includes suppliers of Internet services and products as well as those using the medium for communication, marketing and commerce.

Why Join?

IIA membership provides the opportunity to discuss emerging ideas and technologies, make new contacts, heighten profile in the industry and broaden knowledge in all aspects of the Internet. The IIA currently has 500 member companies, over 2,000 individual subscribers and over 2,500 non-member subscribers.

The IIA is directed by a board of 12 industry experts who volunteer their services to the association. In addition there is a staff of three personnel: CEO, Events Manager, Membership Administrator and a Content Editor.

IIA member companies each have one voting member, who may vote in the annual IIA Board Elections.
